SPRA is the voice of the single ply roofing industry. This trade association was established in 1992 and our mission is to achieve growth and sustainability in all sectors of the single ply roofing industry by raising the awareness of single ply technology, its value and ensuring manufacturing and installation standards remain high. SPRA is an increasingly influential voice in the roofing sector and is working in close co-operation with our sister trade associations to raise the overall profile of the UK roofing industry.
CORC (Confederation of Roofing Contractors)
The Confederation of Roofing Contractors – CORC was established in 1985 and is now the most respected and widely known Roofing Trade Association within the industry and by the general public. NFRCCPS (National Federation of Roofing Contractors Compertent Person Scheme)
When it comes to refurbishing your roof, you want to be sure that the contractor carrying out the work will not only do a good job but also that your legal obligations are met. By using an NFRC Competent Person Scheme (CPS) Registered Contractor, you can rest assured that they are continuously audited against a robust set of criteria including, a financial check, office audit, and site inspection prior to being recognised as an NFRC CPS contractor.
NFRC Roofcert
UK roofers are among the best in the world but unqualified and inexperienced rogue traders too often give everyone else a bad name. It’s therefore time to elevate the pride and professionalism of individual roofers who do the right thing, by giving them the proof and ongoing recognition of heir skills.
This is where RoofCERT comes in. Managed by NFRC CPS, it is the UK’s only national roofing accreditation scheme that gives clients and homeowners the confidence that the people working on their roofs can do the job properly.
NFRC, with support from across the industry, will help existing operatives entering the scheme to demonstrate their up-to-date technical knowledge and essential skills, enabling them to establish a lifelong career path and prove their competence to employers and clients.
NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors)
NFRC is the largest and most influential roofing trade association in the UK, promoting quality contractors and quality products, ensuring that its members are at the forefront of all roofing developments.
NFRC actively ensures that all members offer high standards of workmanship and sound business practice through a strict code of practice and vetting procedure, including site inspections and adhering to the Government endorsed standards. The Federation also offers technical advice, guidance to facilitate your training requirements and represents member interests to the wider construction industry and government.
TrustMark
TrustMark delivers consumer confidence through its expert network of Scheme Providers and their Registered Businesses. TrustMark Scheme Providers commit to meeting the Framework Operating Requirements and ensuring their Registered Businesses maintain required standards of technical competence, customer service and trading practices.
Established in 2005, TrustMark operates within a Master Licence Agreement issued by the Government’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
TrustMark licences and audits over 35 Scheme Providers with over 15,000 Registered Businesses. These encompass 156 different service types and include everything you might expect: plumbers, electricians and builders to a few you might not: carpet cleaners, landscape gardeners and leadwork specialists, plus most trades in-between.
